As you may know from one of my previous posts, I had great expectations for the book "I am Dandy". I have now read the book and I was quite right to be excited, it is definitely one of the most enjoyable reads I've had in a long time. Reading about all the different "dandies" interviewed in this book and look at all the beautiful photos is truly inspirational.
The individuals presented in this book varies a great deal with regard to their sartorial approach but they all see the importance of taking care of ones appearance and have a genuine interest in dressing their very best for every occasion. If you are an aspiring sartorialist, this book will help you on your way. The photos will give you ideas and inspiration and many of the subjects tell about how they started on their path to sartorial excellence. It also becomes clear that dressing well is matter of the mind rather than the wallet. This book is full of people from different backgrounds and with different financial affluence. This is not about having closets full of the most expensive brands and bespoke garments, but following you interests and making the best of whatever is available to you.
I believe I can draw inspiration from most of the people presented in this book, but there are, of course, some styles I like better than others. Below I will show photos of some of my favourites.

These examples are not among the most extravagant but neither am I, but rest assured that the full spectre of male dress and appearance is covered. If you have an interest in the topic, this book will have something for you.
